Monotypes. My monotypes are spontaneous pieces created in the studio by making an image on the plate, and printing with a press. The vintage coloured papers used for these prints became an integral part of the colours for each print.

I sometimes like to use unusual papers learnt from linocut printing on Japanese patterned papers during my Foundation course which took place in an old Luton hat factory. I may later add to the image with gold leaf, hand painting using artists watercolours, and drawing with crayons or pastels.
